What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking personnel to support the review and disposition of legacy records across TA-V. On any given day, you may be called on to: + Review legacy media from TA-V (which includes documents, film, reels, pictures, x-rays, photographs, etc.) to: + Determine if media is potentially a record, non-record, or non-record reference item, and correctly disposition each one + Identify books, historical items and unknown items + Apply document retention schedules per TA-V retention and disposition requirements + Identify and index the metadata + Identify and segregate any documents labeled as classified, OUO, CUI, UCNI or other potentially sensitive/controlled materials + Work with SMEs to determine final disposition of legacy media + Assist with disposition of legacy media through scanning, storage and/or appropriate destruction + Assist with loading scanned files to Aras or EIMS + Conduct quality control checks of electronic files Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite. Qualifications We Require: + High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of directly related experience + Existing DoE Q-clearance or equivalent DoD clearance + Familiarity with nature of sensitive documents and labeling + Familiarity with document scanning equipment, including large format scanners Qualifications We Desire: + Ability to review documents and glean appropriate metadata + Ability to recognize potentially sensitive/controlled material + Knowledge of retention schedules and record series + Able to disposition documents and records About Our Team: Group 1380, Nuclear Facility Operations and Applied Nuclear Technologies (Technical Area - V), operates four unique nuclear facilities and conducts radiation effects research and analysis supporting the mission of Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) and the nation's interest. The operation of the Annular Core Research Reactor (ACRR), the Sandia Pulsed Reactor-Critical Experiments (SPR-CX), the Gamma Irradiation Facility (GIF) and the Auxiliary Hot Cell Facility (AHCF), as well as the Radiation Metrology Lab (RML) play a vital role in SNL's strategic mission. The Nuclear Quality and Requirements Department (1382) is responsible for managing the effective implementation of the elements of 10CFR830 Nuclear Safety Subpart A, Quality Assurance criteria across TA-V programs, policies, processes and procedures. The department also manages the TA-V Training, Assurance, Quality Integration, and Information Management programs for 1380. Security Clearance: Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD). Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Position Information: This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years. Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.
