What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking a Year Round - Business Undergraduate Intern to join our dynamic team! On any given day, you may be called on to: + Define system and subsystem requirements, project scope, schedules, cost estimates, and deliverables that support mission objectives. + Negotiate deliverables with external customers and partners, builds and leads teams, and organizes resources to implement scope. + Apply standard principles and advanced Project Management techniques and tools in developing project plans and detailed work breakdown structures, negotiating work packages, resource loaded schedules, and assigning various aspects of work to complete project deliverables. + Calculate, analyze variances, and make project decisions utilizing Earned Value Management System techniques and tools. + Manage project resources to ensure that deliverables and objectives are met according to the project management plan. + Provide business management support to one or more aspects of the program or project. + Provide leadership and tactical planning for execution of projects and applies engineering or other technical knowledge to achieve project objectives and deliverables. + Negotiate with customers and program managers to ensure that resources are available to accomplish the work, identify procurement and contracting needs, and marshal resources to complete project deliverables within the scope, schedules, and budgets defined in project work packages. + Oversee project teams in the planning, tracking, and execution of project plans from initiation to completion. + Manage changes in project scope using change management plans, identifies potential issues, and devises contingency plans, as necessary. + Identify potential project risks, develop risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions, and recommend risk acceptance or avoidance for all aspects of the project. + Negotiate with the customer on matters of customer requirements and limitations. + Conduct technical and program reviews to report status of cost, schedule, and performance to management and customers. + Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. + Conducts project postmortems and utilizes lessons learned for process improvement. + Recommend addition, expansion, or discontinuance of projects. Qualifications We Require: You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements: + Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited undergraduate program + Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 + Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer + U.S. citizenship Qualifications We Desire: + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to successfully plan, organize, lead, and monitor team efforts to completion. + Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. + Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. + Demonstrated ability to team across disciplines. + Experience with project management practices for technical work, including developing project plans, work breakdown structures, and work packages; managing to scope, schedule, budget, and technical baselines; and documenting baseline reports and change control actions. + Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance Posting Duration: This posting will be open for application submissions for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days, including the ‘posting date’.
