What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking a highly motivated COMSEC Administrative Support to join our diverse technical team! We are responsible for project management, integration, delivery, and sustainment of satellite ground systems for the USNDS Program. Further, we provide flexible approaches to product definition, realization, and testing to achieve software quality. On any given day, you may be called on to: + Support COMSEC Management + Manage the COMSEC account that supports USNDS flight and ground programs. + Interface with external government agencies to acquire COMSEC related assets, equipment, and cryptographic keys. + Interface with technical program teams to determine needs related to COMSEC assets, equipment, and cryptographic keys. + Coordinate and manage DOE and DoD audits of COMSEC assets. + Maintain the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) document for all COMSEC equipment supporting the USNDS program. + Serve as VTR Admin for three Vault Type Rooms (VTRs) + Monitor all access accounts; adding removing as needed. + Provide on-boarding support for new users of these VTRs. + Weekly checks of 6S adherence. + Perform other administrative support tasks for the USNDS Ground Program as needed. + Gather, collect, record, track, and verify data and information from multiple sources. + Team with a diverse group across varied disciplines to support data processing, analysis and reporting. + Manage program specific assets. + Assist with purchases and manage software licenses for the program. + Assists in implementing and administering Sandia National Laboratories' policies and programs. + Communicate effectively via both verbal and written means with internal and external customers to understand their needs. Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite. Applicants on this requisition may be interviewed by multiple organizations at Sandia National Laboratories Qualifications We Require: + High School Diploma plus 6 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Experience working with sensitive information and classified matter. + Active DOE Q clearance or equivalent Qualifications We Desire: + Bachelor’s Degree. + Excellent analytical skills and time management skills. + Detailed oriented. + Proven verbal and written communication skill. + Ability to work effectively in a dynamic interdisciplinary team environment. About Our Team: The Space Ground Systems Programs leads the design, development, and delivery of the operational ground segment of the United States Nuclear Detonation Detection System (USNDS). USNDS is a space-based remote sensing system designed to meet national security needs for both the warfighter and the treaty monitoring community. The team provides leadership and advanced technical solutions throughout the life cycle of these systems, from inception of new systems to enhancing capability in operational system. Posting Duration: This posting will be open for application submissions for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days, including the ‘posting date’. Security Clearance: Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD). Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to maintain a DOE L-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
