What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking a Year Round - R&D Undergraduate Intern to join our dynamic team! On any given day, you may be called on to: + Conduct R&D activities, independently and in teams. These activities may be theoretical, computational and experimental + Complete a project to advance manufacturing and development efforts + Become familiar with the production lines and requirements of the ceramic components Position will require the selected candidate to be onsite and they must reside locally. Qualifications We Require: You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements: + Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program + Pursuing a science, engineering, or math major + Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 + Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer + U.S. citizenship Qualifications We Desire: + Enrollment in a university and working towards Engineering or Science degree with demonstrated high academic achievement + Excellent organizational, communication and teaming skills + Strong desire to perform national security development work with a production focus + Experience with ceramic materials and processing Experience working in a production environment + Experience working in a production environment + Motivated to learn new processes and technologies + Ability to learn quickly and handle multiple work assignments + Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) Q- level security clearance Posting Duration: This posting will be open for application submissions for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days, including the ‘posting date’.
