The AIML Search team powers the search functionality across many applications in Apple such as Safari, Spotlight, Siri, Lookup, Mail, Apple Music and Visual Search with many more to come.

We are looking for a strong Program Manager with a proven track record of building and maintaining sophisticated software platforms, tools and processes that deliver new end-to-end experiences that delight customers. The role will lead projects that require partnering with various organizations across Apple to enable search functionality. Your work will directly lead to improved search capabilities in many Apple applications helping billions of end users as well as increased revenue for Apple.
Key Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in driving large scale cross-organizational programs
  • Strong ability to drive team to complete the vision and deliver strongly
  • Have personally orchestrated the delivery of multiple significant client/server software products requiring large organizations (100+) to implement
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a curiosity to peel the onion to discover opportunities for impact and better user experience
  • Capability to work across a large number of teams to enforce process and efficient outcomes in a data-driven environment
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities required to forge a path to success
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, conflict resolution and management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation and influence
  • Ability to independently draft and present deliverables, recommendations and communication strategies
  • Ability to influence across organizational boundaries
Description
- Evangelize the search platform capabilities across Apple to increase adoption

- Partner with several other organizations within Apple to define scope and build roadmap

- Setup processes for effectively collaborating across organizations

- Define success criteria for launching new capabilities

- Work with engineering to solve complex problems

- Proactively identify issues and solutions, and marshal resources vital to attack and resolve. Coordinate with teams to identify issues, prioritize tasks and track risks to schedule and product quality, including cross-functional dependencies

- Provide clear, timely and objective communication, including regular program status updates and critical issues as needed to executive team

- Identify ways to reduce effort to onboard new applications and increase adoption
Education & Experience
Bachelors, Master or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,000 and $269,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
