Job Description

Summary

Research technician will be in charge of managing and design of behavioral electrophysiology rig for human participants in electrophysiological recordings.

Job Duties

  • Maintains coding database for behavioral tasks and programming and debugging new behavioral tasks.
  • Ensures tasks interface with stimulus presentation system and data collection system.
  • Participates in development of novel improved data collection and management systems, and take a lead role in the programming aspect of these systems.
  • Maintains and updates laboratory hardware.
  • Works closely with multiple laboratories, graduate students, and post-docs in the laboratories to improve workflow and data analysis practices.
  • Participates in laboratory activities, including journal clubs and seminars.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA. in Computer Science or related field. 
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Has strong programming experience that includes coding in Matlab or Python.
