Job Description

The University of Tennessee, Office of Information Technology Applications Group is seeking applicants for the position of Software Analyst. Market Range 13.

The Software Analyst leads the technical design, modification, development, testing, and documentation related to the University operations in the use of Ellucian Banner (ERP) for higher education. This position will report to the OIT Manager, Student Information Systems. Hybrid work schedule. International sponsorships are not available for this position. Duties and Responsibilities

Implement, upgrade and support the University's enterprise resource planning (Banner) application and other interfaces to Banner for the campus community
Design, analyze, develop, implement and maintain enhancements to the University's enterprise computer applications
Provide training and assistance to users in the use of enterprise applications and custom developed solutions
Performs complex analysis and problem solving for supported systems
Develop and maintain documentation
Communicates with cross departmental and campus units regarding developed solutions
Performs moderate-to-advanced level problem analysis on software applications
Supports medium to large sized systems with a moderate amount of independence
Researches, trains, and leads new technology initiatives as requested
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years applicable experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
3 years of application design and development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to translate user-requirements into a deliverable product
Desired Qualifications:

Experience with api-led data integration tools such as Mulesoft
Experience with java and api development
1 year verifiable api development experience
Experience with SQL or PL/SQL
Experience in higher-education environment
Familiarity with Ellucian Banner ERP System
Must be well spoken, creative, and energetic and work well in a team environment
Able to work independently with minimal technical supervision
