ROLE SUMMARY

Focus on the patients experience by gaining a deep understanding of their needs, to achieve better state of care and connect Pfizer capabilities to deliver meaningful solutions for the patient; through key stakeholder’s engagement and bringing the outside in.

Works with partners to uncover potential opportunities to transform the patients experience, helps improve and simplify the patient journey, contribute to patient empowerment and engagement to deliver better outcomes and QoL.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Explore and understand the patient journey and collect insights in Algeria xBU, across the healthcare pathway, including pre-diagnosis, screening and diagnosis, treatment affordability / access and treatment & Health management.
  • Acts as trusted partner externally and is the primary (but non-exclusive) point of contact between the key stakeholders involved in the patient experience and internal cross functional teams; shares the patient needs internally and help prioritize and secure the resources.
  • Identify hurdles and opportunities to enhance the patient experience and prioritize key challenges and pain points to address by therapy area.
  • Oversee the patient journey in its entirety and leverages the shared purpose to co-create solutions and support designing and building initiatives tailored to the patient journey needs, working with the relevant internal stakeholders and SMEs; with the aim to improve health outcomes and better service support.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Medical team on unbranded material dedicated to patients, by providing the right insights from external stakeholders and act internally as ‘Patient Expert’.
  • Leverage technology solution proposals to enable better patient experience.
  • Propose recommendations to optimize the execution of the patient’s initiatives, solutions, and programs, with the aim to maximize the patient health outcomes.
  • Ensure close communication and partnership with key internal relevant colleagues: Medical, Marketing, HSP, SHP, CA Leads, H&V.
  • Work very closely and cross functionally with the PBG marketing, Medical, CA and PHI team to ensure that the projects, initiatives, and solutions have clear objectives and KPIs in full compliance to Pfizer policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare Science, Public Health (or equivalent). Business Management degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the life science industry, in Marketing and/or Health Access roles or at a healthcare payer or consultancy in the areas of market access, patient relations or in sales/brand management in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Very good knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry and Healthcare environment.
  • Ability to assimilate clinical and market knowledge of the therapy area, to a level to be conversant with external Therapeutic Areas Experts.
  • Good entrepreneurial & growth mindset with partnering capabilities, and work as a team in a highly matrix environment
  • Creative and agile: come up with new ideas in a rapidly evolving environment and ability to develop recommendations for decision-making or action.
  • Strong communication skills
  • High computer literacy including manipulating Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word, Electronic Customer Management Systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent planning and prioritizing skills
  • Strong customer relationship management abilities.
  • Deep expertise in Oncology, Hematology and Rare disease is an added advantage
