Job Description

Summary

We are a group of engineers and researchers responsible for information intelligence at Apple. We build systems to connect Apple users to information in products ranging from Search and Siri to on-device intelligence. We would like to hire a manager that can lead a small team of engineers that is dedicated to build innovative features applying powerful ML techniques that can provide value to millions of users in Apple products.

Key Qualifications

Industry experience in one or more of the following areas: Machine Learning Infrastructure, On-Device ML, Personalization, Recommendation
Experienced with managing and leading a small team of engineers
Extensive experience from experimentation and prototyping to deployment into production pipelines
Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality
Excellent written and oral communication skills on both technical and non-technical topics and ability to communicate complex ideas

Description

You will be a part of a growing engineer group of extraordinary people, that addresses complicated problems in Machine Learning, including: natural language processing, personalization, recommendation to help power products including Siri, Spotlight, App Store, Apple Music, and more. Also, you will be responsible for guiding technical direction as well as developing your team, and jumping in to write code where necessary.

Education & Experience

MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field

Additional Requirements

Knowledge of iOS/macOS application development a plus
Experience of developing frameworks and designing application programming interfaces a plus

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,500 and $260,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
