Are you curious about the intersection of science and technology? Does seeing behind the scenes what it takes to operate Apple’s enormous global networks excite you? If so we are seeking an intern to join our Infrastructure Services Networking team during Summer 2023 on a 3-month internship.
Our team keeps Apple’s world-class networks running. We are a global community of engineers who work together to operate a multi-vendor network that interconnects Apple’s various sites together — offices, larger campuses, and data centres. We also help manage the connectivity with many of the world’s network service providers that enables Apple to be deeply connected to the Internet.

Description
During your internship as a Network Engineer, you’ll be tasked with a challenging assignment and will have the opportunity to act with autonomy to influence direction and requirements, whilst being supported by technical mentors throughout this learning experience.
You’ll join a team of experts that support Apple’s network, both in a reactive way, responding quickly to unplanned events, as well as in a proactive way, making planned changes that prevent potential issues from occurring. Under the guidance of your mentors, your growth will be directed and you’ll have the opportunity to be exposed to growing complexity as your own knowledge builds. Before you know it, you’ll be the mentor for the next generation of network engineers!
This position provides a fantastic learning opportunity to explore a cutting-edge network of enormous scope, variety and scale. From single ethernet connections to individual machines, via large campus-scale wireless deployments, to multi-terabit transcontinental optical fibre systems. Apple’s network offers a rich diversity of opportunity to gain the expertise that will make you a skilled network engineer — all you need is insatiable curiosity.
While this position requires an aptitude in a relevant discipline, e.g. computer science, mathematics or engineering, above all we value teamwork and collaboration. Education & Experience
This role is only available to students enrolled in their penultimate year of study, who will graduate and be available to begin full time employment in Summer 2024.
Additional Requirements
- Once you complete your internship, high-performing interns may become eligible for full-time offers into Apple's Graduate Program. This is a rotational training program designed to accelerate the learning and careers of our graduate employees within Apple IS&T.
- This role is only available to students enrolled in their penultimate year of study, who will graduate and be available to begin full time employment in Summer 2024.
