The nurse scientist provides leadership, consultation, and oversight in all aspects of nursing research to nurses at all
levels throughout the Center. The Nurse Scientist collaborates with the Director of Nursing and shared governance
councils to ensure an organizational culture that encourages and supports the development of research topics, pursuit
of funding as appropriate, the conduct of the research project, and dissemination of findings. The Nurse Scientist seeks
out opportunities to collaborate in research studies both within and outside Moffitt Cancer Center. Pursuit of own body
of research is encouraged
