Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Electronic and Information Resources (EIR) Accessibility Coordinator (EIRAC), the team member will primarily process EIR Accessibility reviews, complete website accessibility tasks and participate in engagements with university stakeholders to facilitate accessible EIR across campus. This position supports the university’s efforts to reach and maintain compliance with Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 206, TAC 213, UT System Rule 150, UTA EIR Accessibility IT-PO5, and UTA EIR Accessibility Procedure IT-PR5.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties
Website accessibility compliance efforts:
Assist the EIR Accessibility Coordinator (EIRAC) with maintaining the accessibility platform that UTA uses to report accessibility errors on our websites.
Maintain the accessibility platform including setting up new users, maintaining user access and removing users upon separation from the university.
Maintain the accessibility platform by adding new sites/groups to the platform and monitor for sites/groups no longer published for removal while maintaining page count per the contract.
Assist with other data reported such as universal search, privacy data, domain locator services, misspelled words, broken links, and items that violate UTA’s EIR Accessibility Policy and Procedure.
Work with departments to reach website accessibility goals.
Generate reports regarding web accessibility at UTA.
Electronic and Information Resources compliance efforts (ServiceNow/TAPREQ):
Work Technology Approval Process Requests (TAPREQs) in ServiceNow – approximately 100 requests per month:
Contact vendors for Accessible Conformance Reports (ACRs), which are completed Voluntary Products Accessibility Templates (VPATs).
Grade VPATs.
Consult with stakeholders.
Escalate requests to the EIRAC as needed.
Follow published workflow for approvals of TAPREQs in ServiceNow.
Add completed TAPREQs to two Sharepoint databases manually.
Process EIR Accessibility Exceptions with guidance from the EIRAC.
Supervise life cycle reminder emails for TAPREQ approvals.
Assist with Accessibility Assessments as requested by the EIRAC.
Administrative and Additional Job Duties:
Manage messages received by [email protected].
Respond to, forward and file emails as appropriate.
Employee will attend on-line trainings offered by UTA departments and by outside parties, including Level Access Academy, Siteimprove Academy, and LinkedIn Learning.
Assist with maintaining the website for the EIRAC department hosted on Sitecore.
Assist in regular review of PO and ProCard transactions and tie transactions to active EIR Accessibility approvals
Other duties as assigned
Supervision of student workers:
Supervise student worker(s), plan schedules and approve time sheets.
Supervise student interns from various UTA colleges.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience in IT, procurement, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of web publishing and software procurement processes.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to work independently to complete work tasks.
Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Experience working at University of Texas at Arlington.
Knowledge of WCAG A/AA Criteria.
