ROLE SUMMARY

ELIQUIS represents nearly one-fifth of Pfizer revenue overall (excluding the COVID-19 assets) and will continue to remain the flagship brand for the Internal Medicine business unit with a long runway to generic entry in 2028. In fact, ELIQUIS built a streak of posting double-digit growth in both demand and net sales in every quarter since launch, which was snapped by the disruptive impact of the pandemic. This consistent level of performance has propelled the brand to its dominant position as the market leader in the oral anticoagulant (OAC) category, which also makes it the #1 most-prescribed brand overall in the industry.

ELIQUIS operates in a fast-paced, competitive environment with a comprehensive marketing plan promoting multiple indications and reaching multiple stakeholders across channels. ELIQUIS is a co-promoted product with Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) and offers experience operating in a high-functioning joint venture and Alliance structure. The ELIQUIS Healthcare Professional Team is specifically responsible for identifying and applying deep HCP insights to deliver the great value of our brand to healthcare professional customers and maximizing the value of the brand for Pfizer. ELIQUIS performance across digital channels remains highly responsive to promotion, as evidenced by a high positive net long-term ROI.

As the Omnichannel Lead on the ELIQUIS HCP team, you will be responsible for all HCP Omnichannel strategy, planning, and tactical execution across two major indications - Non-Valvular Atrial Fibrillation (NVAF) and Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) - in addition to serving as a BM3.3 champion for ELIQUIS and Primary Care.  This individual will closely partner with the NVAF and VTE indications leads across the alliance to continue to complement and boost our NVAF/VTE Field Force strategies through digital/omnichannel tactics in order to provide a seamless customer experience.

As our organization and brand continues to evolve, there is a need to continue to transform our brand ecosystem and find innovative ways for reaching new and existing customers with our ELIQUIS clinical story, including both clinical trials and real-world evidence. ELIQUIS omnichannel strategies/tactics have evolved significantly over the last several years and in 2023 our goal is to continue to deliver strong and effective engagement with an eye on innovation.  The ideal candidate will uncover critical customer insights, evolve omnichannel/digital marketing strategies/tactics, and advance a robust metrics plan while partnering closely with key stakeholders across the alliance.

This colleague will report to the HCP/Consumer Team Lead. The Alliance between Pfizer & BMS is an environment that embraces innovative thinking, strong communication, and values the creation of great partnerships. This position is based in Pfizer’s NY Headquarters.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead overall omnichannel strategy and execution across HCP digital ecosystem for NVAF and VTE indications – evaluating current and future opportunities to ensure optimal omnichannel experience for customers based on data-driven insights
  • Champion integration of BM 3.3 principles into digital and non-personal promotion (NPP) channels as well as advance the vision for ELIQUIS BM3.3 activities (e.g. PfizerPro, digital RWE promotion)
  • Partner effectively with BMS/Pfizer indication leads and your alliance digital partner to drive HCP team strategic and tactical planning/execution
  • Ongoing optimizations to the Eliquis professional desktop & mobile websites
  • Optimize Eliquis HCP Social Media/Digital presence
  • Spearhead additional innovation channels based on HCP customer insights and needs, including opportunities to reach underserved communities via digital channels
  • Evolve metrics plan with analytics teams for test and learn approach
  • Oversee maintenance as well as future enhancements to the Eliquis Digital Rep Advisor (DRA) Platform 
  • Be the marketing lead liaison responsible for cascading digital or omnichannel initiatives that directly support the Pfizer Field Force – including new Rep Triggered communications and new enhancement to the DRA platform

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 7+ years of pharmaceutical and digital marketing experience and strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical marketplace are essential
  • MBA or MPH preferred
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and distill critical customer driven insights to drive brand performance
  • Ability to work effectively within an Alliance
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage advertising and/or other agencies
  • Demonstrated initiative, strong strategic and leadership skills
  • Solid analytical and strategic thinking; ability to translate strategy and analysis to a tactical, executable level
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Strong project and process management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
