Job Description

Summary

A Research Assistant position is open in the Department of Center for Cell and Gene Therapy at Texas Children's Hospital Feigin Center. The role would involve participating in follow-up studies on CAR-T cell trials conducted in the Center and in developing a novel therapeutic cell platform for the next-generation therapies of cancer. 

Job Duties

  • Performs correlative studies on CAR-T products via multiparametric flow cytometry and identifies factors correlating with persistence and anti-tumor activity of CAR T-cells in patients.
  • Develops an engineered immune effector platform derived from a replenishable cell source and optimizes it for highest activity in preclinical models of human malignancies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field. 
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in cell biology, immunology and flow cytometry is required.
  • Expertise in T-cell engineering is preferred.
