What will you be doing in this role?
Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, the Mental Health Associate Per Diem provides mental health prevention, intervention and crisis intervention services within school settings and the community at large following a period of observation and training. Incumbents develop partnerships and deliver a full range of services consisting of assessment, group therapy, individual and family therapy when appropriate. When need be, sessions might be conducted by telehealth or virtually. Participates in team meetings and planning. Demonstrates motivation, creativity and serves as a catalyst for effect change. Maintains proficiency/skills including the ability to deliver care to special populations with diverse cultural backgrounds. Identifies safety concerns and institutes measures to provide a safe environment. In this role you will:
- Conduct assessments of students, as a part of the triage process and for students admitted into the program.
- Participate in the treatment planning process by attending treatment team meetings.
- Demonstrate sound conceptualization of problems, strengths, goals and objectives. Follow through on implementation of approved plans, monitors students' progress
- Conduct individual, family and group interventions
- Collaborate with internal and external sources in providing clinical treatment
- Coordinate care for patient and care delivery team as needed
What we're looking for:
Master's Degree in Social Work or Marriage Family Therapy
In process or currently have a Board of Behavioral Science Associate Designation
Minimum of 1 years of clinical experience with children and adults
Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
