Job DescriptionSummary of Position
As a highly-visible member of the Enterprise Desktop Management Support team, in the college and core campus zone, this team member is responsible to apply timely, advanced desktop support to multiple USNH colleges and universities. Direct customer support for VIPs, faculty, staff and computers, mobile devices, account access, networking, cloud-storage solutions, security and data management. Provide training and documentation for systems, software, policies and procedures. Must have the ability to utilize advanced knowledge of industry standards, provide troubleshooting, and research complex issues for customer endpoints. Responsible to communicate and apply USNH policies and best practices. Ability to provide a wide range of support for both hardware and software. Must have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal relationship building skills, and dedicated customer service skills in this role.
Responsible for asset management and life-cycle management process. Manage and/or participate in endpoint remediation in support of cybersecurity initiatives. Participate in project management initiatives central to the teaching and research mission at UNH.
Seek advancement and personal training opportunities to improve technical and management skill sets.
Other related duties as assigned.
This position is an on-site and may require periodic travel to all USNH campuses and related business units across the state.

Other minimum qualifications
Associate’s degree and four years of experience, bachelor’s degree and two years of experience, or combination of education and experience equal to six years.
Expertise in multiple information technology areas (operating systems, software, configuration management, security, network troubleshooting) and experience with both Windows and Macintosh OSX computer platforms, and handheld devices/smartphones.
Computer hardware replacement/upgrade skills such as memory upgrades, hard drive, system board, display replacements, etc.
Strong customer-focused support skills.
Organizational skills and effective oral and written communication skills.
Project management, strategic planning, and asset management experience
Valid driver’s license.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Windows Active Directory and Jamf Pro/Macintosh server technology is desirable.
Customer service experience.
Proven knowledge of/or experience with best computing practices and endpoint security management is also highly desirable.
Experience in higher education.
