The EV-Smart Grid Interoperability Center (IOC) at Argonne is pursuing an open-source approach to monitor and control networked devices to minimize barriers to commercial implementation of smart energy management. The Software Engineer will develop enabling software applications and algorithms to promote electric vehicle grid integration while collaborating with other IOC engineers.
Master's Degree in software engineering, computer science or similar field.
Experience developing both front-end and back-end software applications.
Experience with Unix/Linux based operating systems.
Laravel PHP Framework.
Version control and source code management (vcs): git, Node Package Manager (npm
Knowledge and experience with the following:
Cloud services such as: Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azur
Databases: Relational (MSSQL, MYSQL, etc.), Non-relational (Mongo, etc.), Time Series (Influx, etc.
Data analytics: Machine learning, Python numpy, pandas, etc., Scikit, Keras, Tensorflo
Communication protocols such as: ISO/IEC 15118, OCPP, MQTT, RESTful APIs
IoT Hardware: STM, ESP32/8266, Raspberry Pi, ODroid.
Implementation of best cyber security practices.
Project management and teamwork skills.
Skilled in oral and written communications and presentations at all levels of the organization.
