Job Description

Summary

The Staff Scientist will perform bioinformatic analyses of large data sets, both published and generated in-house. The data sets will include bulk and single-cell RNA-seq, exome, and CRISPR/Cas9 screen data. 

Job Duties

  • Performs bioinformatic analyses as directed by the principal investigator; this will include analyses of single-cell RNA-seq data, co-expression analysis, de-convoluting next generation sequencing data from CRISPR/Cas9 screens, molecular pathway, and gene ontology analyses.
  • Maintains and backs-up large datasets.
  • Creates figures and writes methods/figure legends for manuscripts for publication.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral Degree. Experience may not be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Three years of post doctoral research experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD with 5 years of experience.
