Job Description


The Department of Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital seeks to fill a position for a full-time NIH-funded Research Coordinator. Initial job contract will be for one year full-time, with the opportunity for renewal based on funding ability and performance. Funding is available for at least 5 years. This coordinator will provide technical assistance with research projects investigating speech perception and production in the brain.

Job Duties

  • Handles patient participant recruitment and follow-up, data collection of human neurophysiology data,data management, and general lab management. 
  • Assists with subject recruitment for neuroscience studies and manage the lab including management of IRBs, ordering lab supplies, maintaining databases. 
  • Is responsible for running experiments and collecting human neurophysiology recordings in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) at Texas Children’s Hospital, curating data for transfer to collaborators at UT Austin, and working closely with clinical staff in the EMU.

Minimum Qualifications

  •  High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.
