Job Description
This is an advanced specialty training position with individualized learning and experience goals designed to allow the incumbent to develop advanced skills in a specific subset of their career. These Instructor-Members have completed all required formal training to practice within gynecology or a specialty and will bill for some services provided during their autonomous and mentored practice within the Cancer Center. Some of their clinical responsibilities and expectations are similar to those of an Assistant Member. However, some portion of their time is dedicated to additional training within the identified target area (usually, but not exclusively research). The training component is overseen by one or more Academic Faculty (MMG or MRI), under the direction of an appropriate Institutional Leader.
Applicants must have a MD degree or equivalent with general surgery or gynecology residency and/or fellowship in an oncologic or other gynecologic subspecialty.
Practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center.
Provides patient care under the auspices of Moffitt Medical Group, and serves as member of the academic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.
The position may span the clinical and research enterprise, and supports patient care, research and education.
The Department Chair will allocate the position's effort between clinical, research, educational and administrative activities.
