Job Description


The Research Coordinator II, an integral commodity for clinical research, will be responsible for the complete management and monitoring of assigned clinical studies as well as liaise with the PI's to ensure timelines, data compilation and compliance. Requires attention to detail, good judgment and the ability to multitask and maintain organization. 

Job Duties

  • Collects patient information; processes documents and enters information into a database. 
  • Collects, processes, ships, and maintains paperwork for blood and/or biological specimens according to procedures outlined in study protocol.
  • Maintains records and regulatory documents and records for respective research studies.
  • Ensures retrieval and submits test results to appropriate party.
  • Provides correspondence to the patients as necessary.
  • Establishes and manages IRB's.
  • Manages investigational drug accountability.
  • Manages investigational site file.
  • Navigation of electronic data capture systems.
  • Navigations of BRAIN.
  • Works with Advarra IRB and Western IRB.
  • Coordinates, manages and completes the required submissions, amendments and renewals to the IRB.
  • Responsible for IRB submissions, interviewing, screening and recruiting patients, site initiation visits, interim monitoring visits and close-out studies.
  • Explains processes and procedures to educate the participants regarding the respective research study.  
  • Schedules research participant for tests and procedures such as laboratory tests, x-rays, and other studies specific for the research protocol.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of relevant experience.
