Job Description


A Research Administration Associate position is available in Children's Nutrition Research Center. Must be able to implement pre-award and post award activities and process improvement compliance, and financial reporting and tracking.  Will report to the Director of Business Operations.

Job Duties

  • Prepare grant and subcontract submissions internally (BRAIN) and externally to sponsor sites.
  • Work on pre-award budgets and post-award account management.
  • Work with Principal Investigators to create grant budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with all Sponsored Programs Office guidelines.
  • Create and manage financial reports needed by the Section and College.
  • Prepare incoming subcontracts and outgoing subcontracts to various institutions.
  • Work in the college’s Effort Reporting System to update faculty and staff effort on grants.
  • Work in the college’s Disclosure of Outside Interests (DOI) tool to maintain faculty compliance.
  • Assist with the USDA-ARS annual budgets and reports to the government administration.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.  Certified Research Administrator certification through the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
