Clinical Informatics Upgrade Coordinator
Responsible for the development and maintenance of electronic health record (EHR) testing scripts. Round in clinical work areas to develop intimate knowledge of clinical workflows. Lead system upgrade testing and implementations to ensure system functions as needed for clinical staff. Maintain road map of service enhancements. Maintain relationship with EHR vendor to influence design to align with Cancer Center's needs. Provides expertise as a change agent and project management expert for new innovation. Uses change management strategies throughout the planning and implementation process to ensure success. Leads team in reviewing and monitoring data analytics related to application utilization and adoption.
Credentials and Experience
Bachelor's Degree - Clinical RN (Registered Nurse)
Licensure - Active RN in any state and ANCC Informatics Certification
Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse and a minimum two (2) years experience in a Clinical Analyst or Informatics position.
Required: Verifiable Electronic Health Record (“EHR”) training, support, and/or implementation experience. Previous experience training and supporting clinicians, preferably with clinical information systems.
Demonstrated ability to work with and facilitate multidisciplinary clinician groups as part of a clinical information system support.
Excellent understanding of departmental/clinical operations, providers, nursing and ancillary workflows and terminology.
Shows high interest in systems improvement, (computerized or human process), strong analytical and problem solving skills; willing to work at a detailed level; good written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively understand physician and nursing requirements and identify technology and process-based solutions. Able to balance customer focus while supporting EHR initiatives.
Cerner experience required
One (1)- three (3) years of managing system upgrades.
