Job Description


The Epidemiology Program is the largest program devoted to pediatric cancer epidemiology in the US. The Program currently has several funded research projects focused on pediatric cancer etiology and survivorship.  This position provides much-needed support to these projects by supervising and coordinating day-to-day activities of data management and analysis and supporting all research efforts of the program.


The Center for Epidemiology and Population Health and the Epidemiology Program in the Cancer Center are vibrant research divisions within the Department of Pediatrics. They are expanding to meet the growing research needs at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital.

Job Duties

  • Provides training, oversight, and supervision of research associates and coordinators who have primarily data management and support tasks.
  • Assigns tasks, checks work at frequent intervals, and sets goals and objectives for team members.
  • Oversees the management and maintenance of data integrity for research studies in the program.
  • Coordinates research staff schedules and monitors workloads.
  • Performs data queries, as needed.
  • Works with Faculty and staff to develop databases for various projects.
  • Works with Faculty to develop reports, manuscripts, and grant applications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
