The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine – Knoxville is searching for a full-time core faculty member who will contribute to the Programs research, teaching, and service missions. The ideal applicant will be pursuing a scholarly agenda in neurologic rehabilitation, have college and/or clinical teaching experience and demonstrate evidence of professional service. Rank commensurate with credentials and experience. Salary and start-up support are negotiable.
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree (DPT) or BSPT/MSPT with academic doctorate – Current licensure as a physical therapist in the state of Tennessee, or eligible to obtain licensure prior to initiating teaching duties – Relevant clinical experience in neurological rehabilitation – At least 3 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist – Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a clinical setting or at the college level – Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills – Demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion – Strong commitment to student learning and success – Ability to work independently, but demonstrated ability to collaborate with an interprofessional team
- Academic doctorate (PhD, Ed.D. ScD, DHSc, etc.) in relevant field. ABD will be considered. – ABPTS Board Certified Specialist in relevant field – Additional continuing education/certifications in relevant field – Experience with the CAPTE accreditation process
