Job Description

Summary

Performs the routine elements of research work that requires the use of skills, technical and academic knowledge to follow established procedures and record results. This particular posting is for a technician who is interested in developmental neuroscience. This position is part time and the selected candidate will work 16 hour per week.

Job Duties

  • Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiment specifically those involve neuroscience.
  • Selects, evaluates and applies techniques used in routine research- the specific techniques in question involve immunostaining, hypoxia chamber maintenance, and animal husbandry.
  • Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Collects, compiles and analyzes data.
  • Documents results of experiments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • No experience.

Other

  • This is a part-time, grant-funded position that will not go beyond June 30, 2022.
