ENGINEERING TEAM LEAD, MIT Quest for Intelligence, to provide technical leadership and supervision for the engineering team. Team members build and maintain computational platforms which are designed to compose and benchmark models of natural intelligence, and assess the utility of the system in solving real problems of reasoning and decision-making on campus and in the world at large. Will work closely with various mission principal investigators and their researchers to guide the team to rapidly develop, iterate, and deploy solutions.
The MIT Quest for Intelligence imagines a world in which our understanding of natural intelligence is advanced by tightly coupled scientific inquiry and rigorous engineering to address real-world problems that are beyond current machine capabilities. The Quest is engaged in research missions, bringing together multiple PIs and the Quest engineering team to work on common topics.
REQUIRED: M.S. degree in computer science, machine learning, or related engineering field; four years of professional software development experience, including experience with machine learning toolkits; two years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience; experience in at least two of the following fields--computer vision, optimization, time-series forecasting, natural language understanding, reinforcement learning, visualization; and strong project-management, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills. PREFERRED: Ph.D. in computer science, machine learning or related engineering field; and contributions to research communities/efforts, including published papers in machine learning. Job #19914
