Job Description

Summary

This position is for grant funded projects primarily focused on studying the blood system in mice. The applicant must be familiar with biomedical research and have lab experience working with mouse models. The project will include maintaining mouse colonies, perform bone marrow transplantation, and perform basic molecular biology experiments with mouse tissue. The successful candidate will provide responsible and skilled technical assistance in support of a research project by completing assignments requiring a good knowledge of techniques and practices related to animal research.

Job Duties

-Conduct animal studies and maintain mouse colonies. 
-Prepare and conduct laboratory research experiments and tasks.
-Collect, compile, record, and analyze research data.
-Order research related supplies and maintain laboratory inventory.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Candidates with experience in mouse husbandry, animal experiments, and molecular biology are preferred.
