This is a temporary non-benefits eligible position through July 31st.  Position requires commuting to sites throughout Houston (inside the Beltway 8).
 

The Institute for Clinical & Translational Research is seeking a Research Coordinator to support our COVID research. "SARS-COV-2 Prevalence Study" is a clinical study by the COVID-19 Prevention Network (CoVPN) and funded by the NIH/NIAID. This study aims to work with a network of organizations in the rapid evaluation of COVID-19 treatment and prevention strategies.  The Coordinator will coordinate day-to-day activities of CoVPN5002 COVID clinical study. 

Job Duties

  • Interview, screen and recruit patients for CoVPN5002 study; explains process and procedures to educate participant regarding the research study.
  • Collect patient information; process documents and enter information into REDCap and RAVE.
  • May collect, process, and maintain paperwork for blood and/or biological specimens according to procedures outlined in study protocol.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of tents, tables, and chairs at the study site.
  • Drive BCM provided rental van to/from the community site.
  • May manage a study team of 3 or more employees including a driver, phlebotomist, and recruiter.
  • Orders supplies and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field will be considered in lieu of the required experience.
  • Candidates who speak Spanish fluently.
