Augustana College is a selective liberal arts and sciences college of 2,500 students, including 26 percent first generation college students, 23 percent Pell Grant students, 24 percent students of color, and 12 percent international students. Our beautifully wooded and largely residential campus is located in Rock Island, IL, a diverse Illinois-Iowa Quad Cities metropolitan area along the Mississippi River with 400,000 residents about three hours west of Chicago.

Assistant Professor (Tenure Track), Computer Science in the Mathematics and Computer Science department beginning in August of the 2021-2022 academic year.
A PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline is required at or near the time of appointment. Applicants should be interested in teaching a broad range of undergraduate CS courses. Faculty are evaluated based on evidence of teaching effectiveness, participation in scholarship and service to the college community. Faculty development benefits include a professional meeting allowance and institutional start up grants to promote your scholarly interests. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to help shape the future of a small but vibrant computer science program.
