The Department of Mathematics & Natural Sciences of the UW-Milwaukee College of General Studies invites applications for a non-tenure track Teaching Academic Staff in Biology for Fall 2021 at the UWM at Waukesha campus. This is a fixed-term position with the possibility of renewal contingent on enrollments.
This position will teach CGS BIO 101 Concepts of Biology; hold appropriate office hours; attend orientation activities; and perform required grading, assessment, and reporting tasks.
CGS BIO 101 is an introduction to the fundamental principles of living organisms, including cell and tissue structure, growth, basic physiological processes, reproduction and inheritance, classification, evolution and ecology.
Lecture is scheduled for MW 8:35-9:50 and lab for MW 10:00-11:50.
Master’s degree in Biological science or a related discipline, or a Master’s Degree in Science Education with at least 18 credits hours of successful graduate course work in the discipline (or a closely related field)
Successful teaching experience at the university level
Terminal degree in Biological science or a related discipline
