Job Description

An NIH-funded position is available immediately for an experienced researcher interested in participating in an exciting multidisciplinary project examining how environmental/behavioral factors may interact to influence neurodevelopmental vulnerability and resiliency following early life exposure to lead. Studies will examine alterations in brain epigenetic profiles and gene expression patterns in different brain regions and evaluate how these biological effects relate to the expression of cognitive and behavioral deficits following exposures to lead and different qualities of early life experiences. The successful candidate will have previous experience in performing rodent behavioral studies and will be skilled in animal husbandry procedures. Broad cellular/molecular biology experience with skills in protein, DNA and mRNA extractions, and in performing Western blot and qRT-PCR studies is required. Expertise in performing cell culture studies and proficiency in immunohistochemistry and/or HPLC will be a plus.
