Job Description

Primary Purpose of the Position
The primary purpose is to teach, advise and mentor students; working collaboratively with faculty advisors, maintaining student records, tracking student progress toward graduation, preparing assessment reports and other reports related to enrollment, retention, recruitment, and graduation. In addition, the Lecturer will assist the department chairperson in managing the undergraduate program and other departmental goals.

Department Required Skills
The Lecturer will be required to serve as an Undergraduate Assistant. This individual must have the ability to work as an undergraduate program assistant, including working collaboratively with faculty advisors, maintain student records, track student progress toward graduation, prepare assessment reports and other reports related to enrollment, retention, recruitment, and graduation; and assist the department chairperson in accomplishing undergraduate program and other departmental goals.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Master’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology from a regionally accredited institution. Evidence of ability to teach undergraduate computer science courses at a college level. Evidence of undergraduate advising. Experience with learning or program outcomes assessment.
