Job Description

In the Academic Technology Application Administrator position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery, support, and maintenance of the tools offered by the Academic Technology Applications and Design (ATAD) group, including the campus learning management system (LMS), third-party integrations within the LMS, and other standalone applications that facilitate and support teaching and learning across the campus. You'll resolve or escalate cases that cannot be resolved by the IT Service Center, by the Learning Technology Consultants (LTCs), or by others who provide similar support outside of the Office of Information Technology (OIT). You will also liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors in support of the applications supported by the program, and contribute to the ongoing effort to improve the services offered by the ATAD team by identifying, planning, implementing, and evaluating improvements.

Service Management
This position is primarily responsible for managing the services offered by the Academic Technology Applications and Development group, including administering and managing SaaS in alignment with the ITIL Service Management framework.This will include researching and resolving access, functionality, performance issues, and major incidents that may surface from proactive reviews, monitoring systems, vendors, and customers.
Assist others in their support of academic technology applications including solving basic technical problems and investigating and seeking solutions to complex issues. Also included in Service Management will be working with vendors and OIT service owners on application changes, testing, functionality, performance and support of applications in ATAD.

Projects Participation
Represent the interests of the ATAD team in OIT-commissioned teams, sanctioned teams or other projects, as well as review, analyze, and recommend and implement improvement opportunities to service quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Consultation and Support
Consult with and provide support to members of the ATAD group at such times as when services are being considered or retired, when budgeting decisions are made, when business needs are being assessed and when capacity and performance measure are being developed.

You will participate in a formal on-call rotation with definitive response times; the likelihood of having to come on-site to respond and or manage the issue or incident is low. When not on call, you will be expected to respond in a reasonable (though not definitive) amount of time when called outside working hours regarding issues and incidents as they arise.
At present and for the near-term, this position will work remotely.
