Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Office of Data Management & Analytics Services (ODMAS) serves a vital role in providing reliable, consistent answers to critical campus questions through enterprise data architecture, integrations, and analytics solutions enabled through a robust data governance framework. As part of an exciting modernization of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's data and analytics architecture, the BI Developer will support the design and delivery of enterprise analytics solutions associated with the UW-Madison Analytics Strategy and Roadmap, which includes: migration to a cloud architecture and toolset; implementation of enterprise data management tools; rearchitecting curated data models around integrated cross-domain insights; new delivery of previously unavailable data domains; and building the framework for future expansion into unstructured data exploration, data mining, predictive analytics, and other advanced data science use cases.
The BI Developer manages, monitors, and maintains highly complex business intelligence solutions, ensures high availability of institutional data, coaches business intelligence users, and performs high complexity assignments with cross-tool expertise and the ability to build enterprise analytics products.

DEGREE AND AREA OF SPECIALIZATION:
Bachelor's degree required.
MINIMUM YEARS AND TYPE OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:
-Experience developing business intelligence (BI) solutions, such as reports and dashboards.
-Familiarity with some industry-leading BI tool, such as Tableau, Qlik, or OBIEE.
-Experience querying centralized data warehouses, and cleaning and transforming data into useable and consumable information.
-Experience solving both business and technical problems in a consultative manner with internal or external clients.
-Experience across multiple functional areas or data, such as finance, HR, and student.
-Experience supporting end users of BI solutions.
-Experience in a higher education setting.
