ADMIN PROFESSIONAL: Starting salary: $97,105 (work experience and meeting the desired qualifications listed may be considered in setting a salary above the minimum)
Pay Grade: A9
Provide leadership for the administration, coordination and advancement of the multi-campus nursing educational pathways.
Develop, implement and oversee district wide nursing program goals, curriculum and operating policies and procedures.
Provide administrative oversight and maintain records to insure compliance with certification, approval, licensure and accreditation requirements.
Supervise department staff; recommend personnel actions related to hiring, firing, compensation, performance evaluation, individual development plans, Quality Faculty Plan compliance, training, leave, discipline, grievances, work schedules and assignments; administer personnel and related policies and procedures, collective bargaining agreements and the EEO/AA plan.
Manage the annual budgets, grants and special funds for district wide nursing programs.
Serve as the primary spokesperson for the nursing program; coordinate program initiatives with other departments; and serve as a liaison between DMACC and area employers to address training issues and initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Master’s degree in nursing.
Four years of progressively responsible experience in a nursing education program which includes two years of teaching experience at the postsecondary level and some supervisory and budget experience.
Two years of clinical nursing experience.
Progressively responsible administrative experience in nursing field.
Ability to obtain an Iowa RN nursing license by date of hire.
Demonstrated excellent communication and human relation skills.

Knowledge of current software applications.
Doctoral degree in Nursing.
Administrative work experience in a nursing program at the program chair level or higher.
Experience in use of computers including knowledge of new technology/delivery systems for instructional classroom use.
Proficiency in curriculum development, program accreditation, regulatory compliance, and evaluation including competency- based education and program outcome assessment.
