Job Description

A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available. Highly motivated candidates are welcome to participate in a NIH funded study on beta cell dysfunction in diabetes as well as diabetic complications in several other tissues. Mammalian cell lines, diabetic and other related knockout mouse models are studied with molecular biology (RNAi, CRISPR/Cas9), cell biology (immunostaining and fluorescent microscopy), quantitative proteomics and integrative physiology approaches. The lab has a working environment to promote productivity and career development for passionate scientists. Salary and fringe benefits are competitive.

Ph.D. in related fields is required. Documented experience in rodent animal studies is essential. The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for phenotyping and functional studies of diabetic and related knockout mouse models. He/she is also expected to lead projects, study related literature, present at research conferences, and prepare manuscripts for publications.
