Overview
Rutgers Student Health is committed to providing comprehensive primary care for all of our students’ health and wellness needs. Our integrated approach to healthcare is designed to support our students’ ability to succeed in their academic, professional, and personal lives.

Our experienced clinical team is comprised of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, pharmacists, health technicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, and substance abuse counselors. Annually our Health and Counseling Centers see about 16,500 students.

Our health promotion department is comprised of certified health education specialists and a registered dietician nutritionist. We also train and employ about 60 peer educators annually. Combined, our professional staff and student health educators conduct about 300 workshops a year.

Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Counseling Psychologist I (CP I) for Rutgers Health Services. This position is under the general supervision of the Director of Counseling, ADAP, and Psychiatric Services (CAPS), or designee, offers a full range of professional psychological services for students including triage, crisis intervention, clinical case management and structured group and individual treatment. The CP I provides training and clinical supervision for advanced graduate students in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, social work, including case focused supervision, presentation of training materials and general mentorship concerning the challenges and opportunities associated with University based mental healthcare.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
• Offers prevention, intervention and postvention community based services for faculty, staff and students.
• Collaborates with other professionals in a multi-disciplinary University based mental health service.
• Supports and/or supervises within CAPS clinical training programs including an APA approved internship in psychology.
• Offers prevention, intervention and postvention community based services for faculty, staff and students.
• Develops and conducts University community based programs to educate and support staff, faculty and students and to decrease the stigma associated with help seeking behavior.
• Collaborates with other professionals in a multi-disciplinary University based mental health service.
• Supports and/or supervises within CAPS clinical training programs including an APA approved internship in psychology.
