Job DescriptionThe College of Arts & Sciences (COAS) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University—Worldwide (ERAU-W) announces the availability of six (6) full-time non-tenure track faculty positions (3 one-year visiting and 3 permanent) across multiple disciplines. The specific discipline and location for each position is as follows:
• Physical science, preferably in atmospheric sciences or chemistry (Maryland)
• English (Maryland)
• History/Government (no specific location)
• Mathematics/Statistics (2 visiting positions, with no specific location)
• Communication (visiting position, with no specific location)
These are primarily teaching positions, with an additional expectation of service to COAS and ERAU-W. The Maryland positions will be required to teach at two Embry-Riddle locations -- Joint Base Andrews and Patuxent River.
COAS offers four bachelor’s degrees (Communication, Emergency Services, Homeland Security, and Interdisciplinary Studies) and two master’s degrees (Cybersecurity Management & Policy and Human Security & Resilience), with more planned for the near future. Departments in the College are: English, Humanities and Communications; Mathematics, Physical and Life Sciences; Security and Emergency Services; and, Social Sciences and Economics. In addition to degree programs, COAS provides over 2,000 sections of general education courses per year as part of every degree program at Embry-Riddle Worldwide, with a focus on developing students’ critical thinking, quantitative reasoning, information literacy, communication, scientific literacy, cultural literacy, and collaboration skills.

• Master’s degree (doctoral degree preferred) from regionally accredited university in a related discipline
• College/university teaching experience, preferably with online education
• Willingness and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams in support of strategic goals
• Experiences that demonstrate the ability to collaborate well with diverse team members
