The Charis Eng laboratory is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven postdoctoral research fellow for the Genomic Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute. PTEN hamartoma tumor syndrome (PHTS) is molecularly defined as the presence of germline PTEN mutation. Why mutation of a single gene PTEN results in specific cancer risks and/or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is unknown. The Eng lab seeks modifiers from genome seq which may help bifurcate cancer vs ASD clinical outcomes. The successful candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in bioinformatics, computational genomic epidemiology and/or data science.
This position will be co-advised by Dr. Eng (human genomicist) and Dr, Ni (computational biologist).
