Your expertise will help in ensuring that the learning and development needs of colleagues are identified, and appropriate programs are designed. You will apply current learning and motivation theories, methods, and techniques to improve the effectiveness of programs. Along with the training programs, you will ensure that the learning systems are audit ready and compliant with the regulations of various institutional bodies.

How You Will Achieve It

The Training Supervisor, under limited supervision, oversees the delivery of training programs to support business needs. Develops training materials and techniques in compliance with Pfizer Corporate procedures.  Works closely with assigned client groups to assess and meet training needs.  Monitors the alignment and delivery of yearly training and requalifications.

  • Responsible for the development of training programs which are compliant with Pfizer Corporate procedures including creating, maintaining, and revising the documents and processes developed to support the training program.
  • Responsible for ensuring the effective and timely delivery of training to client group. 
  • Supervises team of Training Specialists (6 - 8 individuals).
  • Communicates directly with the Training Specialists concerning client training needs and scheduling.
  • Responsible for reviewing “Human Error” related incidents and additional or modified training interventions developed for affected staff.
  • Responsible for requesting module and course creations in the Learning Management system.
  • Responsible for providing training metrics (completed, upcoming, past due).
  • Supervise Trainers in the actual training of all employees.

Qualifications

  • Applicant must have High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with eight years of relevant experience;
  • OR an Associate's degree with six years of experience;
  • OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of experience;
  • OR a Master’s degree with more than one year of experience.
  • Pharmaceutical experience required;
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle changing deadlines.
  • Must have excellent communication skills to deal with all levels of customers.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High aptitude and proficiency with computerized systems required.
  • Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to learn new and take on changing responsibilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to value-based leadership and achieving objectives in a manner that is supportive of Pfizer Values and Core Competencies

TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Visual inspection, training, and/or project management experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements and familiarity with standard operating procedures preferred.
  • Skilled at creating tools and templates to help streamline processes and information exchange

  
 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position requires sitting and working on a computer for long periods of time. 
  • Required to do occasional lifting more than 25 pounds.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be willing and able to work beyond the hours typically defined as a "regular" workday, which may or may not include weekends and holidays. 
  • Position requires regular onsite attendance - this position cannot be performed on a remote or telecommute basis on a temporary, short or long term basis. 
  • Must have the ability to simultaneously multi-task across multiple capabilities and functions and handle multiple competing priorities and requirements, including performing site and functional responsibilities, responding to frequent e-mail and phone communications and attending multiple meetings and conference calls. Note that these activities may not be time bound to core hours or presence at the site. 
  • Must have the ability to work effectively under and manage to strict production, time and performance deadlines.
