Job Description

Summary

The Fetal Center Research team works in collaboration with Texas Children's Hospital Pavilion for Women. We are seeking a full-time Research Associate to support our ongoing sponsor-investigator trials, multi-center collaborative research projects and biospecimen repositories. The Research Associate will assist with developing research protocols, collecting and analyzing data, literature searches, publications and presenting results. We are looking for someone who can work in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment and is detailed oriented. The Research Associate will support daily operations for fetal center studies working closely with the Division Director.

Job Duties

  • Works directly with Division Director on interdepartmental and multi-center fetal center research projects
  • Plans, directs and conducts research experiments
  • Oversees and coordinates the collection, entry and analysis of research data
  • Develops and maintains REDCap databases
  • Works with the Research Operations Manager to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Conducts literature searches and assists with the preparation of abstracts and publications and presenting results
  • Provides oversight for less experience research staff on collaborate research projects

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Basic Science or a related field.  Experience in lieu of degree will not be accepted.
  • Three years of relevant experience typically as a Research Assistant, Research Technician or Postdoctoral Fellow/Associate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in OB/GYN, fetal intervention research
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Working knowledge of clinical trials, study design, statistical methods and data reporting
  • Familiarity with medical, clinical research and/or scientific terminology
