Job Duties

  • Conduct bilingual surveys (English and Spanish) over the phone with patients about their experience with genetic testing.
  • Work closely with the principal investigator to support the day-to-day progress for studies relating to the ethical, legal and social implications of genomics.
  • Help with survey programming and data management to ensure quality and identify and address issues as they arise.
  • Conduct literature searches and summarize information.
  • Build reports based on findings for research team and collaborators.
  • Assist with preparation of papers and presentations for dissemination of findings.
  • Attend project meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional working proficiency to native fluency in Spanish.
  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, bioethics, public health Spanish or related field.
  • One year of relevant research experience in bioethics, public health or social sciences.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, efficient, and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in accepting work assignments with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, understand processes, and resolve issues.
