Position Summary
The Platform Product Manager is a key member of the Digital Marketing team within the Marketing and Communications group and will play a critical role in the success of City of Hope’s marketing, awareness and prospecting initiatives. The Platform Product Manager’s primary responsibility will be to define the roadmap and to collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable, utilize and expand the capabilities of the content management system (CMS). This role is responsible for communicating the product vision, strategy and direction to all stakeholders. Writes detailed business and product requirements for the development team, leading digital product development from ideation to product launch. Drives cross-functional collaboration on product releases and product experiments. Ensures development team develops deliverables aligned with company goals. The Platform Product Manager serves as the subject matter expert for CMS and mentor to team members and stakeholders, providing guidance on product development best practices, processes, and tools.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead development team to deliver efficient, rapid time to market CMS projects.
  • Lead all sprint meetings and the process of overall prioritization, defining/setting business and technical product requirements. Analyzes and reports on team performance and development progress to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with creative team, development team and stakeholders to develop detailed product requirements and identify new opportunities for product enhancement.
  • Maintain documentation for content management system (CMS).
  • Keep current with the latest news, innovations and trends in Drupal, Acquia, web analytics, user experience, advertising and technology.
  • Other duties as Assigned

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, management or experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
  • Minimum 5 years product management, product development or related experience. Experience with consumer-based or healthcare websites preferred. Background in using data to identify opportunities, define goals, measure progress and inform recommendations. Experience working on an agile/lean team. Demonstrated experience in project management required.


Preferred education experience and skills:

  • Experience with Drupal/WordPress, Google Search Console, MOZ, Monsido/Siteimprove
  • Good understanding of content management systems (CMS), digital marketing and web analytics. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and tag management processes. Good understanding of user interface (UI), UX and the basic principles of web design.
  • Strong quantitative skills. Excellent meeting facilitation, written, verbal, and presentation skills required. Ability to collaborate with business and technical teams. Ability to problem solve technical and non-technical issues. Sense of ownership, able to see tasks / projects through to completion.
