Job Summary
Supports and maintains enterprise level telecommunications system and ensures a consistent, highly available experience for end users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting, provisioning, and deployment end user equipment within the telecommunications system.
Monitors system availability within an enterprise level telephone system. Escalates issues as needed.
Utilizes process and procedures to support the telecommunications system.
Assists with changes and document control.
Maintains current technical knowledge and skills necessary to support the telecommunications system.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ability to lift and move 50lbs of equipment.
Ability to work within a hybrid development, engineering, and support team
Ability to collaborate with team members, staff, and customers.
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Skilled in communicating effectively both orally and in written form to a variety of constituents at varying levels of authority within the organization
Ability to think intuitively and analytically to break down and resolve problems
Ability to read, understand, and follow high-level policies and guidelines and apply those guidelines to daily responsibilities.
Ability to work proactively and independently
Ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions
Ability to pay close attention to detail and work under pressure
Ability to analyze system components and support options
Ability to be a forward, creative, positive, and flexible thinker.

Required Qualifications
Associates degree in information technology or related field or one (1) year experience in an IT environment.
Preferred Qualifications
One or more of the following certifications:
Microsoft 365 Teams Administrator Associate.
Juniper JNCIA.

Working Conditions
Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated to this classification render the position security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code. Participates in an on-call rotation for 24×7 continuous system availability. Frequently works off-hours to perform emergency and routine system maintenance.
