The Audiovisual Systems Engineer (developer/programmer) is responsible for managing implementation of new audiovisual projects for the University and Health System ranging from $1 - $5 million annually. The projects include new construction and renovation with the incumbent being responsible for analyzing, designing, building, testing, and implementing technical solutions for audiovisual projects and service requests; executes implementation of technical solutions and verifies success; frequently managing and coordinating the work of others, both internally and externally; provides top-tier AV support until implementation is stable, performing to expectations, and turned over to Audiovisual Technologists.

Responsibilities
The job duties include but are not limited to:
MANAGE & CREATE: Manage and create audiovisual designs from requirements collection through engineering and design to installation and ongoing support
PROGRAMMER FOR AUDIOVISUAL SYSTEMS: Will be the programmer for all audiovisual systems including, but not limited to, Crestron control systems, BiAmp, and AMX control systems; responsible for creating a standardized graphical user interface designed to efficiently and intuitively meet customer requirements while being technically sound and highly reliable.
PROVIDE TOP TIER AUDIOVISUAL SUPPORT: Provide the top tier of audiovisual support for systems including Cisco Tanberg video conferencing, audio and sound systems, digital signage, projection systems, audio conferencing, and other technology commonly found in classrooms, meeting spaces, and event venues.
OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field with three years' related experience; or anAssociates degree from an accredited college or university in a related field with six years' related experience or a High school, diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and seven years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field with a minimum of two years' related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational and verbal/written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and other computer software/databases.

ABILITIES
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite often interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records and make independent decisions.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days / M-F *Work outside of the normal business hours may be required.*
Pay Grade: 19
Salary: Minimum $51,967.00/annually - $62,750.00/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
