Job Description
Summary
A Staff Scientist role is available in the Kommagani laboratory in the Department of Pathology at Baylor College of Medicine. The Staff Scientist will be part of a multi-disciplinary research team that focuses on gynecological pathology research. The specific goals is to utilize mice and clinical samples for advanced methods to understand the cellular and molecular factors that are altered in reproductive diseases.
Job Duties
- Plan, direct and conduct research experiments related to gynecological pathologies.
- Collect, analyze, and document experiment results.
- Perform different cell and molecular biology studies using mice and primary cells.
- Documents results of experiments and reports to principal investigator.
- Investigate different aspects of uterus development and reproductive functions.
- Conduct literature searches and summarize information for ongoing projects.
- Assist in overall laboratory functioning.
- Participate in collaborative projects with other groups in department and TMC at large.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral Degree. Experience may not be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Three years of post doctoral research experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in rodent and reproductive biology research
