Job Description
Summary
The Duncan Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Research Coordinator I. This position provides with day-to-day activities of clinical trials, including assisting with monitoring of research participants, enrollment, screening, specimen processing, and scheduling study visit. The responsibilities of this position require flexibility and a detail oriented individual to work closely with senior research staff.
Job Duties
- Collects initial patient intake information.
- Collects, processes, ships, and maintains paperwork for blood and/or biological specimens according to procedures outlined in study protocol.
- Schedules research/study participants
- Enters and maintains data for review and submission to study sponsors.
- Screens and recruits patients for participation in clinical trials.
- Plans and schedules upcoming research visits for study subjects, according to protocol requirements.
- Schedules research participants for tests and procedures such as laboratory tests, imaging, and other studies specific for the research protocol; retrieves and submits test results to appropriate party.
- Assists with data collection and reporting of Serious Adverse Events to appropriate regulatory agencies and sponsors.
- Corresponds with patient throughout study.
- Order supplies and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Research experience preferred but not required.
