Job DescriptionPostdoctoral Research Associate Position available in computational and spatial systems biology research.
Postdoctoral position in computational and spatial systems biology research is available in the laboratory of Dr. Shikhar Uttam (www.pitt.edu/~shf28) at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. The research will focus on studying the spatial systems biology of cancer and the spatial intratumor heterogeneity of its tumor microenvironment. It will integrate computational biology, highly multiplexed fluorescence microscopy, systems immunology, mathematical modeling, machine learning, spatial proteomics, and transcriptomics, and will be executed through multi-disciplinary collaborations.
The newly established Uttam Lab is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate who has recently earned a PhD degree in systems biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, computer science, biophysics or a related field. Experience with multidimensional imaging datasets, fluorescence microscopy, image processing and analysis, scRNA-seq and cancer biology is highly desirable. Wet-lab experience will be a plus. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Salary is commensurate with experience and based on current NIH guidelines.
