Min T/E Requirements
The ideal candidate must have an earned Masters or Ph.D. in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field by July 31, 2019. Experience in teaching or industry is preferred.

Expertise in one or more IT and CS areas (system integration, system assurance, object-oriented programming, operating system design and security, digital logic and design, human-computer interactions, video game development, mobile application development and cyber security, for example) would add to the candidate’s attractiveness.

Primary Purpose of Organization Unit
Imparting knowledge of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Information Technology disciplines and performing research and other related activities.

Teaching computer science and information technology courses, and maintaining (including basic level troubleshooting) the computer networks in the teaching labs

Job Description
The candidate will be expected to effectively teach a variety of IT and CS courses, to advice and mentor students, and to engage in scholarship and professional service. The courses taught cover all levels of an undergraduate program in topic areas such as object-oriented programming languages (Java, C++), event-driven programming, algorithms and data structures, computer architecture, software engineering, web technology & security, operating system design and security, network & security, system integration, system assurance, digital logic and design, human-computer interactions, video game development , and database management. We are particularly interested in expanding our capabilities in mobile application development and cyber security.

The candidate must be able to manage (including basic lavel troubleshooting) the computer networks in the teaching labs.
The candidate must be able to communicate effectively through spoken, written, and visual media.

Management Preference
Expertise in one or more IT and CS areas (system integration, system assurance, object-oriented programming, operating system design and security, digital logic and design, human-computer interactions, video game development, mobile application development and cyber security, for example). Possess knowledge and Skills necessary to manage (and if necessary to troubleshoot) computer networks in teaching labs.
